Trey's favorite present this year was this ball. It has white paint on it because Caleb dropped it in paint before we had a chance to wrap it. Trey didn't seem to care.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to everyone from the Reeds!

We had a great holiday season this year... It was very relaxing and we got to see a lot of friends and family.

Everyone came over on Christmas Eve and Tammy made a great lasagne for dinner. We all just hung out and the kids opened a couple of presents. Mike J. (Krista's Mike) has a birthday on Christmas Day so we had some cake also and sung happy birthday to him.

Then on Christmas morning we did what we usually do: lots of good food and tons of presents. This year I thought the gift giving was amazing. Everyone gave creative, interesting, and unique gifts. Mom and Dad bought a bunch of gifts from their recent trip to Mexico. Santa brought Sophie a little video camera so look for some films from her soon...

We will post some Christmas pictures soon...

Trey loves apples. You get to eat them and then when you get bored you can throw it like a ball.

Happy Hanukkah!

Today's Youth...

So I work with high school kids...it is interesting. Here is a link to a mockumentary that a couple of my students who are into hard core christian music made with a cameo by yours truly...
This video has won several high school level film awards for comedy. Zach is actually very talented. His music video for Semantic Terms in Neon is pretty impressive.

Tammy's news...

Recently Tammy and I - together with the Peelle's, purchased a property in downtown Wilmington that has us really excited. The building has two commercial spaces on the street level, two one-bedroom aparments on the middle level, and a third floor that is simply amazing. The third floor is basically exposed brick, with wood floors, great windows, and 16-foot ceilings. It is around 2400 square feet and has been unused for at least 40 years.

So Tammy's news is that she is planning to rent one of the spaces on the street level to open a studio space. The idea is for her to be able to teach yoga and art classes for kids a few nights a week, but to also use the space as a coop for others to use for dance, yoga, gymnastics, or the like. Tammy has also thought that the space could be used on weekends to host themed birthday parties or other kids' related events. The whole concept being that there is a need for a holistic outlet for children in this town...something for parents to do with their children other than YMCA sports or the playground at McDonalds.

Tammy has received great support from the community. Several people have approached her with ideas and want to be involved with the project. She has signed up for a yoga certification program in Florida next month and we are very excited about the new direction this adventure will take all of us!

The next step is applying for some matching grant money to upgrde the building. Once we know where we stand with that we can begin work on the studio.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Project Trust...

I attended Project Trust at Camp Kern this past weekend and had a blast despite getting very little sleep. Project Trust teaches middle school kids about tolerance and acceptance.
